To celebrate International Day of Older Persons the Open Gallery CIC will be running a one-day Clay Creations: Tester Workshop for 50+.

 

 

Venue: Open Gallery, 18 Rawson Street, HX1 1NH.

 

 

When: Saturday, October 19th at 11am -2pm.

 

 

Eligibility: Free for 50+

Life Drawing Sessions

 

March the 8th, 15th and 22nd.

 

Join us for an unconventional and creative Friday afternoon 1pm - 3pm at the Open Gallery, Halifax for a unique life-drawing event.

 

No prior artistic skills are necessary—just come prepared to draw and sketch a nude female/male model.

 

Prepare for an afternoon filled with art, great company, and complimentary tea and coffee.

 

This event is perfect for individuals over 18.

 

You will need the following for the workshop:

 

- Your own drawing materials and sketchpad / iPad (graphite pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, a sharpener, and erasers).

The Open Gallery is planning to host a one-week exhibition in September to showcase all the works produced during the Summer workshops.

 

The exhibition will take place from the 12th to the 16th of September 2023 at the Open Gallery, 18 Rawson Street, Halifax, HX1 1NH. 

 

This exhibition will be a great opportunity for participants to display their artworks and for the public to see the results of the workshops. The exhibition will feature a variety of works in different mediums, including painting, sculpture, textile and printmaking. The exhibition will be open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.

 

This event is a great way to celebrate the creativity and talent of the participants and to showcase the Open Gallery's commitment to supporting emerging artists.
